The Great Domain Rush of ’97

Welcome to the little town of Internet. A frontier town with bandwidth as far as the eye can see. It is the spring of Nineteen and Ninety-Seven and word has spread far and wide: There are domain names in that there bit matrix! Prospectors from all over came to “mine” for domain names and strike it rich selling ’em to the highest bidder. Salty characters: Webby, H.T.M.L. and Dot-Net are prospectors making their living huntin’ down unclaimed domain names. They and all the other prospectors keep it legal under the watchful eye of W.W.W. O’Malley. Nicknamed “Triple Dubya”, he’s the law and order in this little town, with justice at the end of his mouse ball. Everything changes when a fancy stranger named Go Daddy comes to town musclin’ everybody out of their claims and buyin’ up all the domain names. There’s only one man who can stop him, and the scene is set for a showdown. Triple Dubya must have a “click out” at mouse point with Go Daddy to settle the score. Computer mouse gunfights, saloon tomfoolery, lots of computer references and even a few songs accompany this epic sketch from the Feral Chihuahuas. There’s even an original score fit for any Spaghetti Western. Don’t be daunted by the length of this video. It’ll keep your attention and the tech geeks and comedy lovers alike will enjoy it. Huzzah!
